Integrated System Support

MIKON Systems' customers have non-stop production processes. As a result, MIKON Systems provides comprehensive support for its software components and on-call support services required for users of a multi-component integrated system.

Software Product Support

MIKON and INTEKON software are covered by annual support and update services including:

  • Telephone consultation on how to use the software products;
  • Diagnosis and repair of software product problems;
  • Software product update service including new features, updated environment support, and product code fixes; and,
  • Optional emergency support service for software product problems during non-business hours (24x7).

Integrated System Services

Although MIKON and INTEKON software are the core components of users' systems, a variety of hardware and software products constitute the application platform and various software applications may supply or receive data. MIKON Systems' on-call Integrated System Services (ISS) cover a variety of user support needs that arise from the integrated application infrastructure. ISS services include:

  • Maintenance and monitoring of operating system, database, and other components of the integrated system;
  • Troubleshooting integrated system problems not related to MIKON or INTEKON;
  • System performance analysis and tuning;
  • Installation of new and updated software products and custom code;
  • Diagnosis and repair of custom software problems;
  • Assistance with data backup and recovery; and
  • System analysis and specifications for new applications and interfaces.

Other Technical Services

In addition to the product and system support discussed above, MIKON Systems offers comprehensive technical services to assist in implementation and to maximize business value from our software products. Some examples of these services include:

Process Data Model (PDM) Analysis examines the information flows in a production environment. The PDM study provides a roadmap for the development of a process-oriented information system.

Software Specifications Development determines and documents the functions and requirements of new software.

Project Management Services define, track, and expedite all or part of an implementation project.

INTEKON CIO Software Development creates new client input output (CIO) programs that interface commercial system products (e.g. enterprise resource planning, process information, laboratory infromation systems) and custom/legacy software applications using the INTEKON messaging software.

Custom Software Development meets unique application requirements not met by the data-driven INTEKON and MIKON software or other application components.
