MIKON and INTEKON Software

MIKON Systems provides the software for constructing a Production Data Warehouse (MIKON) and for integrating production and business (ERP) applications (INTEKON). Built on Oracle and CA-Ingres relational databases, MIKON and INTEKON software are configuration-driven software systems easily adapted to any multi-step or complex path production scenario. Using these off-the-shelf software components, manufacturing users configure integrated applications for enterprise quality management, activity based cost management, and production workflow and reporting. Application integration results in consistent data, traceable production results, and new business possibilities using Intranet/Extranet connectivity to the integrated system.

MIKON-INTEKON integrated system example

MIKON software creates the Production Data Warehouse, including process variables, product measurements, product/performance specifications and other real time and historical data. MIKON software includes server and client components. MIKON/Server is a background real time application managing data about processes, products, product specifications, customers, and orders in a production scenario. MIKON/Client, running on Windows-NT, is the graphical user program for real time query, update, and presentation of data ina MIKON database. MIKON/Client software presents an integrated view of production data for a wide variety of user applications.

INTEKON provides the data connections among various real time production applications and business (ERP) systems. It includes a message processing server and off-the-shelf interface programs for enterprise applications (e.g. process control, laboratory, and business (ERP) systems). For interface with legacy/custom applications and port-based or file-based data sources, INTEKON provides a messaging application program interface (API) and the INTEKON/Dataport data acquisition subsystem on Windows NT. INTEKON provides a comprehensive set of software to address the spectrum of application integration requirements. INTEKON/WebPort and INTEKON/WebQuery software make data contained in various application databases readily available on the Intranet or Extranet.
